Christmas in July

I think I already have my girls matching Christmas outfits planned! I'm thinking vintage snowmen this year, with this fab fabric for the skirts. I just ordered adorable vintage snowman screened shirts for them that match the fabric beautifully. I'm not usually this early of a planner...in fact, my sweet Lily love turns 1 in 10 days & I still have no idea what she'll be wearing! Possible a really cute ruffled pillowcase style dress, but then again, I've always wanted to try my hand at a tutu, but then theres...........& the plot thickens!

Home from Montauk

Just home from a lovely weekend in Montauk. It's amazing how driving an hour from home can make you feel on vacation a world away. Chris participated in his 2nd triathalon & did great, he & his close friend crossed the finish line at the same time!!! We had beautiful weather lots of sun & lots of Coronas!

7 years ago today...

My husband & I were married! Can't believe it, I'm already fantasizing about a great 10 yr 2nd honeymoon trip. We went to Vegas for our 5 yr, (that's a pic of us there in Sin City) but I was sick pretty much the whole time, so I feel we need a better one to make up for it! We're going out to dinner tonite, but it happens to be a Monday, & not many restaurants are open. It's a beautiful hot night, so we'll toast to our years together & our beautiful girls & not so fantastic dog Brady!

3 years!!!

I'm really excited that I'm about to hit 900 sales!!! I only have 15 to go, I can't believe it's been 3 years since I started my business back on July 4th of 2007, can't wait for 1000. My goal is to hit that by Christmas! Ok back to the sewing room ;)

I LOVE these birds, they are so fun to make & would be perfect in a nursery! I attached mine to a large branch I found in my yard that I spray painted the perfect creamy color.

Thought I'd share a pic of my newly re-organized fabric storage space. It's the Ikea expedit 16 section wall unit. I used to organize my fabrics by theme (polka dots, florals, cowboys, birthday,etc) but I was inspired by some of the beautiful pics on flickr of fabrics organized by color! This is my 1st attempt & I'm pretty happy with it.

It's been awhile....

Sorry about the long time between posts...I've been sort of busy, Devin started pre-school which has gone quite smoothly for a 2 year old, and then she got her 1st bug from school, so mama's been tending to the child. I really want to make this advent calendar, it's by Teresa McFayden, a fabulous crafter I discovered last night mindlessly surfing the net, it would be for our house, not my etsy shop, because it would take entirely way too much time and I wouldn't have time to do it again, it's made with magnets...isn't it cute, I love how she uses all the different number styles and of course the overall retro-awesome-ness? Oh, I'm thinking of doing my 1st blog or etsy shop giveaway but I'm trying to think of how to work it out & what to give away...
